My heater in car works fine when driving but when I stop for a red light or stop sign the air starts getting cold til I rev up engine or start driving again. Why?

If it's vacuum operated teh vacuum is dropping and lettin door close. Or if electric, it is not getting good power at idle and when you get going it gets better power. Clean your battery cables a an dcheck battery condition.
