Hi, headlights all of a sudden went out. The console has abs, airbag and break lights lit continually. Speedo only works occasionally, the fuel gauge, temp display do work. Would anyone know what the problem is? My husband tried changing the fuses to no avail.

Check battery conditions first then check fuses under hood for headlights. Include load test forbattery

Thanks. Husband said battery connections and fuses under bonnet were checked. How is the load test fore battery checked? Is this done by an auto electrician. If so would it be a costly repair?

In the u.S. Here most auto parts stores do it for free have no idea it 's just a machine that is put on the battery and it tests how good the battery is. I would have no idea if there is a cost where you are located. It only takes about 30 seconds to test it.
