I'm hearing a rattling sound coming from my engine. What could be causing it?

I drive a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe with a 2.7 liter V6 engine. I started hearing a rattling sound coming from my engine today. I've checked the oil and it's full. My oil pressure light hasn't came on and the car is driving fine I'm just concerned to say the least.

Alot of things. Might be a cam/follower problem. Have a pro listen to it.

The rattling only occurs during a cold start. I took it to a pro today and it didn't make the rattling noise so they're going to keep it overnight, start it in the morning and find out what's causing the noise.

If it only does it when it's cold then goes away it's probably piston slap. Nothing to worry about unless you want an engine rebuild. What piston slap is, the pistons have alittel to much clearance when cold and when started up an drun for about 2 minutes, sometime less, they expand and the noise leaves. This is notingto worry about unless it is somethingelse.
