2004 Hyundai Matrix gls. Car has a Nissan B14 engine

Car normally starts only when remote transmitter is pressed in unlock position, but now the remote transmitter battery appears to be dead (no led indicator when buttons are pressed) and car will not start at all --the engine turns over. I pushed the alarm button on inside of car and the red led indicator under key entry started blinking faster. Is there a way to deactivate system so that car will start without remote transmitter?

I am looking for battery for remote trnsmitter.

PS: I live in Trinidad West Indies just got car a month ago.

Check online for deactivating security but I don't think so. And try a new battery in key fob
