Door wont open in or out

Have an 2004 Hyundai Accent door handle broke. Ordered a new one from Hyundai dealer. Husband installed it and then closed the door and now it wont open at all from inside or out. He attached everything back the way it was but with new part and reinstalled the door panel as well. Now how do we get it open?

This is a long shot but may help (I've never done it on a Hyundai). Stand outside of the car by the door that will not open. Either press really hard or thrust your hip into the door by the door latch (or any other type of impact you can provide), then try opening the door. If this does not work you may need provide a faster and harder impact (obviously next to the latch). When door opens, ensure everything is tight and don't close door too gently :)
