You need to first remove the inner door panel to determine if there is damaged linkage, broken linkage, disconnected linkage, or the handle itself has broken. Do that and let me know what you find.

How do I remove the rear door panel? Do you have any step by step instructions?

I don't have directions. However, there should be a few screws and then the panel is held on by clips that are between the door and the panel.
