A couple of months ago I replaced the drivers side door lock actuator when it started failing. From then on the doors all lock immediately when we close all the doors, this is OK, when we're in the car but many times the same thing happens when we're not. We have owned this car since new and never locked ourselves out but since replacing the actuator we have locked ourselves out half dozen times. When I disconnected the part did the computer go back to some default position and is the answer merely to change this?

No, most likely you have done something to the door lock switch that is now out of adjustment causing the door lock switch to be activated to lock the doors when vibrations are felt.
