I have a 2004 GM Sierra Truck. I am blowing a 10 amp fuse that I think is attached to the control that runs the heat, AC and defrost. The fan does run. Replaced the climate control unit, vend doors and resister. Still blowing fuses. What may be the problem? Please call 443-454-0009 or is there a number I can call to talk to someone. Or you can email me back. Thanks - Rick

What position is the fuse located in your fuse panel? Fuse #. So I can look and see what is on that circuit. Some of the later model gmc and chevy models would melt the harness to the blower resistor and the resistor aswell. They make a kit to repair this problem. Also try unplugging the blower and see if your short goes away.

I replaced the resistor and the blower works but I do not get any response from the controls (meaning AC, heating, defrost). I also replaced the control unit and I am still blowing 10 amp fuses. Fuse is positioned in the fuse panel in 10A HVAC1 climate control system.

Rick, have you checked for pinched wires or shorts?
