2004 GMC Canyon mileage: 67,000. I noticed my temperature gauge getting hot. I checked the radiator level and it was low. I thought I saw some oil in the coolant. When I picked up the cap to put it back on, I had noticed a spot of what looked like grease. It feels like grease. From reading the other posting, it sounds like a blown head gasket. How far can I drive it before I have to it fixed?

Have the engine checked immediately. It sounds like you blew a head gasket. Anytime you have oil in the coolant the problem will only get only get worse and ultimately cost more money to fix if other parts get over heated.
