So our escape is idling at 4000 rpms here is what we know so far

no vacuum leak that we can visably detect (checked all hoses and they all appear to be functioning fine

replaced IAC

Replaced TPS

Replaced mass air flow sensor

replaced air filter

still on startup idles at 4000 rpms this really feels like a vacuum leak but still. We checked over and over again and there is no noise indictive of a vacuum leak and all the hoses are properly attached to the intake with no indication of a leak from the point of attachment

any thoughts or suggestions?

Try cleaning the throttle plate on both sides and iac hole with choke cleaner throttle may be sticking.

Took the Hose off and looked at the throttle plate it responds normally isn't stuck open

it would help to say that we found out a mouse got into air filter and had made a home in it shredded it up something fierce

is it possible that some of that shredded filter got into the intake? If so what should we do next?

You should still clean the throttle plate because of gunk that gets in there. If the mouse got into air cleaner then clean out as much crap as you can and run the engine it won't hurt anything. Then scan for codes see if something is out of whack there causing it. Also check all grommets and air ducting for holes. If there are any correct them as that will do the same thing as a vacuum leak.
