My car has a small leak under the hood

My car has a small leak under the hood. Ive noticed it for awhile and had my dad check my water and anti frezze n nothing looked low. But today my car smelled hot and a bit of smoke came from under the hood my temp. Gage is a bit higher then normal but not way up there. What could be causing this?

That sounds like antifreeze. Check the engine coolant to see if it is low. Then, go to a parts store and ask to borrow a pressure tester for the cooling system. It hook on where the radiator cap is and pressurizes the cooling system making it leak where the problem is. Do that and let me know what you find. NOTE: Do not remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot. Wait until it is cold.
