I have a 2004 Dodge Intrepid SE V6/ I Just recently replaced the timing chain as it was loose. Trying to start the car, I have to give it a bit of gas to get it going. Then when driving if I push the gas to the floor it sputters and wont switch gears. If I accelerate slowly its perfect. The check engine light is on giving error code P0562 which is supposedly low voltage/battery, but could this cause my issue? Not sure what the problem is but any advice would be great.

Use an inexpensive digital voltmeter to measure battery voltage while the engine is running. It must be between 13.75 and 14.75 volts. If it is low, measure the voltage on the two small wires on the back of the alternator while the engine is running.
