Car listed above is the Contour model. I started it it came on for 3 seconds and went off. I started again it did the same and since then it wont crank at all but my car lights, dash lights, radio, and windows all work. Got it jumped didn't crank so I bought a new battery. The alternator and starter are good and when I turn the key on I can hear the fuel pump click and come on. About a month ago when I turned off my car the key was stuck so I put my foot on the brake put it down in neutral and back up in park and it released my key. It did that maybe 10 times throughout the month and I repeated the same steps to get the key to release. The day it stopped cranking the key didn't give me any trouble. Other than the key getting stuck I never had any other problems. I am so lost. Please if you could be so kind to help me.

Good morning,

I attached a wiring diagram for you to view.

I would have someone check the wiring and see if you have power to the starter.

Also, try resetting the security. I attached a guide for you to follow.

Good morning,

Security has been reset and starter has power. Checked fuses and they are all good.

Does the starter have power to the small trigger wire I highlighted in the diagram in the start position? If it does, then you need a starter. If it does not, then you have a power issue from the ignition switch to the solenoid.
