Just recently I had the oil changed. Since then my Tachometer does not work and looks like the engine is revving up to 10k rpm. The oil gauge at times goes way above the max indication and the fuel gauge looks like the tank is way overfilled. sometimes the oil gauge will work and the fuel gauge won't. sometimes the fuel gauge will work and the oil gauge will not. Sometimes they all work, sometimes they all don't work. any suggestions as to why this is happening?

If some of the gauges are not working, you will most likely need a new instrument panel cluster. Check with the dealer. There was a unofficial recall on pickups for this problem. Yours might be covered as well

Remove the left closeout insulator panel. Remove the knee bolster trim panel. Remove the instrument panel cluster bezel. Remove the screws retaining the ipc to i/p. Partially remove the ipc from the i/p in order to gain access to the electrical connector. Disconnect the electrical connector from the ipc. Remove the ipc from the i/p.

First, make sure the battery cable ends are completly clean and free of any corrosion. Make sure they have a good connection at the battery. Check the fuse box under the driver side rear seat. Make sure there is no water or corrosion in the fuse box. If all is ok, you probably have a bad instrument cluster. You will need a Tech 2 scanner to see if you have communication with the cluster.

my instrument panel will not turn on. I was driving on Sunday and my panel and gauges turned off. After driving a while, it turned back on(about 9 mi.). It drove fine the rest of the day. The other interior items are working, and the truck turns on without hesitation. All lights, radio, blinkers, wipers are working fine, except for all my instrument panel gauges. I checked the fuse for my panel and it is fine. What else can be the problem? I noticed today in the morning that my panel was off again. What could be the problem? Please help!

most likely its a problem inside the instrument cluster and will need replacement. its not uncommon for this to happen just unfortunate. the dealer sells clusters on a exchange basis. hope this helps
