2004 Chevrolet Silverado Suspension

I am wanting to know how much the rubber washer on these shocks needs to be depressed; just so it is snug or do you want to have it really tight? Please see the attached image.

Run the nut down as far as it will go it needs to be compressed do it doesn't come off

Ok thanks. Run it down until it compresses but it doesn't need to be squished down beyond that?

The nut should go all the way down until it can't turn anymore. Usually with an impact but not a lot of torque
