I have an 04 Colorado with a 3.5 litter. While driving the and I let off the gas my rpms drop to below 500 and it stutters. It also acts up when I hit the brake. I changed the spark plugs to see if this helped out but it didn't. I have also replaced the cables coming from the battery. What could the problem or diffrent problems be? Thanks

Is there a CEL (check eingine light on), if so, have scanned and diagnose that first, Another thought would be a dirty throttle bore that needs to be cleaned with approved cleaner and a old toothbrush to address your idle issue.

I do have a CEL on. I had it checked. The problem with the CEL is a vacum leak. The problem with the engine acting up was before the CEL came on. Thanks for your help. I will check into the dirty throttle bore.
