2004 Chevrolet Cavalier gas in breath er

Drive car about 8miles it floods out and unscrew breather bout half gallon gas pours out then it will start n go for another 8miles and repeat. What could b cause? Can I trust a code machine to diagnose this problem without it saying 20 things the problem is causing to go wrong? Please help I am on a disability check n can not afford hundreds $s just to diagnose problem I know it might b more than one thing maybe u can give me top ten please and thank you.

Code machines don't diagnose problems. They merely alert the tech to specific situations that need to be troubleshooted.
What engine to you have and what breather are you referring to?

A picture would be helpful.
