Audi TT 2004, 1.8L turbo, front wheel drive, 80K miles, transmission would not shift properly, valve body was serviced, then replaced, still does not shift appropriately. Have paid $3900 for work so far.
Appears more needs to be done.
Suggestions needed.
Thanks.

No, the Audi Service Center quoted a $7000 replacement price with little or no specific information about what was wrong with the Transmission. We were given the name of a small shop that repairs Audi transmissions. After transmission functional assessment this shop quoted a $3900 for repair which included valve body replacement. Now they suspect that the PCM may also be defective and
may need replacement. All this seem in line with what I know about
this type of automatic transmission. I thought I get a another professional perspective on these repairs to date.
Thanks.

Most likely shifting problem was shift solenoids and or PCM. "Would not shift properly" could explain in detail?
