Hello,

My Audi 1.9TDI looses cooling liquid(1Litre/Hour) and I think it comes out from the cooling deposit cap.

The cooling fans(both) start at 108 celcius degrees. Is it normal?

That's a bit high / hot, but not that bad. Check to make sure that the o-ring inside the cap is sitting correctly.

Have someone pressure test the cooling system to check for any other leaks.

Have someone check the thermostat, water pump and cooling fans for correct operation.

Hi,

Yes, the technical staff changed:
1. The thermostat from 87' to 80 C degrees.
2. The old black Engine coolant temperature sensor to the new OEM green.
3. The new OEM Cap, pressure 1.4-1.6 bar.
4. The new water pump.
From the technical staff: there is no leak of the liquid cooler.

From the pressure test: the pressure goes a little bit higher than 0.5 bar and than in a sec it goes back to 0.5 value.

The cooling fans start in 108.0 Celsius Degrees. This very strange! Cause other cars the cooling fans start at 97 C Deg.

The upper tube from the motor to the radiator is still very inflated!

Help Please.

Sorry about the late reply.

Check your fan manually. Disconnect the harness plug and apply power to the wires with jumper wires.

Your low speed could be burnt out.

I can not tell from the picture, does your engine have a viscous fan / clutch as well, or just electric fan(s).

My Car is an Audi a4 1.9TDI 130hp B6, 8E of 2004 and had 10 days ago this problem:

* Looses of Cooling liquid approx 1Litre/Hour

i went to get Service in Tirana,

and they did this service:

1. Timing KIT
a. New Water pump
b. New Timing Belt
c. New Timing Belt Tensioner
2. New Thermostat
3. New Engine Temperature sensor 4 pins Green that replaces the old black one
4. New Head Gasket KIT
5. New Cooling Deposit Cap(1.4-1.6 Bar)

now I had one trip(autoroute, 80km/h speed)and it show me this screen message: Cooling liquid!

I stopped the car, turned it OFF and open the cooling deposit cap slowly so that no cooling liquid comes out, but only to much air pressure.
When the air finished coming out I saw the cooling liquid level rising at normal level.

I close the cap, go home and no alert message in the computer board.

So can u please help me with this problem?

Thnx in advanced
Denis

ps. Just electrical fans that works very well when on A/C
