My drivers headlight bulb is out on my 2004 Acura TL and it was replaced with a D2S low beam bulb that is yellowish in color as opposed to blue. I am now told that I need a D2S low beam Xenon bulb. There are various variations of that bulb in terms of the blue color and the whether it is 6000, 8000, 10000 etc. Which bulb do I need? Also, when the yellowish bulb was replaced, I noticed that the highbeam does not work and I am told that there are two bulbs a high beam and a low beam. Is it unusual for both bulbs to go out at the same time and that an indication of a larger problem?

Thanks,

The D2S is the correct low beam bulb for your vehicle. The variations will not have an affect on performance. It is more or less a customer preference (color). As far as the high beam, that bulb may be bad too. It is odd that they both went bad at the same time. I would first recommend that you check fuses under the hood to make sure none are bad. If they are good, the bulbs most likely just need replaced. I don't feel it is a larger problem. What I always recommend to my customers is that when one goes bad, the others are not far behind. If you replace one low beam bulb, replace the other low beam with the same type bulb. As long as it is a D2S, you will be fine.

I need to see images of the procedure of putting the low beam headlight HD bulb, drivers side, back into where it goes, up close. As I am 64 years old and cannot see that clearly. I'm having a problem with how the formed wire gets connected from one end to the other. The left side headlight bulb, not the high beam. Any pictures, diagrams, step by step, DIY, I can't afford to take my car to the dealer or mechanic shop, as I'm living off my pension. I need some help, please, if you have any solutions to help me out, I would really appreciate it.

The low beam headlight went out. I replaced the ballast, igniter and light at the same time and it still didn't work. I plugged it into the passenger side and it worked fine. I have checked both relays and fuses. When turning on the lights the low beam will ficker on for a second then turn off. Im at a loss for what to do and needing some help.

Fi you have driving lights then the module may be bad have it scanned. If you don't have drl's then it may be the multiplex unit under passenger side.

From the price range the lower number is a regular headlight bulb and the other is a capacitive discharge bulb for the 130. Can you post a picture of the bulb?

See pictures for instructions. Do not touch new bulb with your hands it will immediately burn out. You can decide to do it or not.

From behind the headlight assembly, remove the torx bolt with a t20 bit. Turn the cover counter clockwise and pull out. Turn the bulb's socket counterclockwise and pull out. Press the fastener in and to the side to release the bulb. Put back in reverse.
Make sure not to touch the glass part of the bulb.

My Tl has converted headlights going from the original HID headlights to the standard type. The passenger side headlight has a small crack in the glass and I would like to replace the entire glass enclosure. I removed the bulb connections and the 2 main bolts on top of the enclosure. I was unable to remove the light. Their must be anorther bolt near the bottom but I cannot see it. How do I remove the enclosure?
