2003 Vauxhall Vectra misfire problems

Hellllppp plzzzzz I have a vectra c 1.8 03plate which has a misfire problem I had it compression tested and was told theres no pressure in cylinder 4 what could b wrong?And what would I need to replace? Could I just replace cylinder head? Thanks

If there is no pressure in cylinder it could either be a piston problem or a valve problem like a burnt valve. Unless you can get a camera in the cylinder and look then you'll hve to pull the head off and go from there. Ifit's a valve replacing the valve could fix it. Or if it'a blown head gasket a new gasket would do the same but you need to pull the head an dsee what is wrong.

Car still runs but misfires and is really sluggish in first an second but still drives ok and there is no knocking or out from bottom end or any oil and water mixing as oil cap and dipstick is clean and no smoke from exhaust been told it could just b a valve. Thanks very much for your help much appreciated
