My 2003 subaru forster 2.5 x has started burning oil as of late, in addition in the last week, after warming up my car before I go anywhere, when I get into the car there is a strong smell of gas that dissipates after driving a few miles. There is no puddle of any gas leaking under my car. What might it be?

Could be burning rich due to the following below: 1. Excessive fuel pressure can be cause by restricted fuel return line
2. Defective Oxygen Sensors.
3. Leaking injectors and fuel pressure regulator.
4. Coolant temperature sensor out of calibration.
5. Restricted air intake system.
