Found a 2003 Saturn Vue FWD 3.0 V6 engine. The owner was leaving a stop going 15 mph and the engine died.

After being towed to the service garage found that the serpentine belt broke and somehow got entangled in the timing belt and broke the timing belt. My question since this is an interference engine, will this engine have valve damage since it was not going very fast? I am interested in purchasing the vehicle but not if I have to replace the heads. Thank you for your time

Doesnt matter if it was low rpms or high rpms can still bend valves . without putting a camera down the spark plug holes or Putting a timing belt on and seeing how it runs couldn't tell you if the valves are bent.So its playing the lotto.
