Front bumber was ripped off car. Outside temp. Sensor located in the front bumper was disconnected with the wires hanging out.
Now display on heater and a/c reads OC ext
Heater and blower works and I can adjust the heat (without a reading)
As far as I can tell, the A.C will not come on. Reads OC ext no matter what I do.
I can disconnect battery for a few minutes. The display works for about 30 seconds, goes to -40 then back to OC ext.

On those cars when you have auto climate control and you loose your outside temp sensor input. The ac wont come on you will have to get a new sensor and connector if the connector was ripped off. Thats normal if you need help finding the parts let me know.

Is there any way to check the sensor. It does not appear to be damaged.
The wires just pulled out and I put them back in.

If the sensor looks undamaged then most likely its good. So what happened to the wires?

The wires were just pulled out of the sensor. THey appear to be OK.
I checked the voltage on the yellow wire coming to the sensor with the ignition on and got a reading of 5.11 volts.

Thats signal wire the other is the return wire. Jump across the two terminals and see what the display reads? The wire can still be damaged without any outward damage or the connector end could have been pulled loose.
