Electric roof on Megane

The electric roof sticks and beeps, 50% of the time, when putting the roof down. It gets 3/4 of the way and stops. Sometimes the 'hood lid' falls onto the canvas roof and I have to hold it off, while someone else pushes the switch (not easy when out on your own. Eventually it finishes what it is doing. Any ideas.

You might try lubing the sunroof rails with silicone spray as that may help the sticking issue. There may be an issue with the lid falling off which may need physical looking at to give a proper diagnosis.
