2003 Pontiac Bonneville my car wont shift

Ok so I was driving to the store everything seemed fine then when I left my car would not want to shift into gear and it was doing that aloy I would have to put my car in nuetral or park when I stopped then it would work a littlw better but now it doesnt go into gear at all I put it in drive and it only moves when it gets to a high rpm idk if its my whole tranny or just a pcm

Check trans fluid then have a trasn gy look at it.

I had the transmission fluid and the filter changed already the mechanic that did it said he found a little bits of metal in my fluid

Little bits of metal are normal in a transmission they are wear from thrust washers and bushings they are silver and brass colored. It kind of sounds like a seal has gone bad in one of the clutches and causing your problem or the oil pump.
