03 aztec has a bad groaning sound from right side front. Brakes, pad rotors are new. Front end ailgned. Bearings have no end play as well as the cv joint at the wheel side. The transmission side has up and down play. I suspect that it is an output bearing or whatever it is called right at the cv inside the tranny. Does this sound familiar or common to this vehicle? Is this the call of the hurst for this tranny or just needs a bearing?

Suspect wheel bearing, just because there is no play doesnt mean it is not bad, On a hoist in neutral, spin tire by hand while grasping strut spring in other hand, a bad bearing you will feel roughness in spring, a good bearing will be nice and smooth, nothing felt in spring.
