A wet air filter was put into my nissan sentra gxe with a 1.8L engine. It will start and idle, but won't rev much past 2000 rpm's. The filter was rmoved and the car sat in the sun all day hoping to dry out, still not acting right. Anything I can do. I do not see any water in the oil.

Not really, maybe a little. Has no power and can't really go over 10 mph. I saw something about pulling the plugs and turning the engine over to get rid of any water, haven't tried that yet.

Is the MIL indicating?
Is it a wet filter or has the vehicle been through a flood?

If too much water had gained entry to the cylinders, cranking the engine without the spark plugs is not going to help because the hydro-locking would most probably has bent o rod or two.
Get a compression test done.
