2003 Mitsubishi Galant car dies

My car just dies out of no where. It doesn't putter or anything it will just die. I had just replaced my alternator and had the battery checked so I don't think that's the problem. It will start back up again but it wont let me take off right away it will take off slow slow no matter how hard I push the gas after a few second it will start going faster and then itll die again after a few minutes

Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked fuel pump pressure?

Yeah the check engine light came back on about a week after I replaced the alternator. After I had already replaced my alternator I had my old one checked and they said it was still good. So I don't think its the alternator or battery
