There will probably be a switch at the boot lock that needs adjusting, get this look at first.

It will normally be a button switch at the lock with one wire attached, I do not have a pic, but more than likely this is how it will appear. If there is a wire loon going into the lock it will be internal of the lock with the auto release solenoid.
