Driving down the interstate the other day all of my dialed gauges quit working idiot lights still work but speed, tach, fuel, and temp quit. Upon arriving home I also noticed that my dome light does not come with the door pin switch however, it does with the dash knob.

Check the door switch. It could be faulty. For the gauges, check the gauge fuse.

Both circuits are linked to the instrument cluster micro computer and that seems to be the cause of the problem. Remove the instrument cluster and check for loose wireharness connectors. You might need to replace the instrument cluster.
