Needs a timing belt. How much should this cost?

I have a 2003 kia sorento that needs a timing belt. How much should this cost and should it also have water pump at same time.

Hello,

It is recommended to replace the timing belt and water pump at the same time. As in order to do the water pump the belt will have to be removed.

There are timing belt kits that include belt, tensioner and water pump. They usually cost around $150.00 to $180.00 for the kit.

This job calls for about 6-7 hours of labor. As for that cost, it will vary depending on the shop you take it to, they all have different labor rates.

I have attached diagrams showing the replacement procedures for the timing belt and the water pump below.
