I recently had the battery replaced on my jaguar (not at a jaguar garage) since then the remote control for the locking system has not worked. I have replaced the batteries in both keys and had a specialist lock mechanic attempt to fix it - he says the car is emitting the signal and the key is working properly - but the car and key are not talking to each other. I also had another mechanic look who says the locking system is fine - the keys are fine but he thinks the code has been lost when the battery was replaced and there is nothing actually wrong with the system itself. Any help please

There is nothing wrong. It has to be re programmed for the key to talk to the module. Thats why you need a battery saver when this operation is perofrmed.
