I was wondering if the a/c compressor work if it does not have a belt on it and are the pulley configurations different with ac and without. I appreciate your time to answer this and for the consideration. Any advice is appreciated and will be read and used.

Hello,

The A/C compressor will not work if there is not a belt turning the compressor clutch.

Generally speaking, the pulley configurations are different for with A/C and without A/C. However, this H2 did not have an option to not have A/C. All of these came with A/C from the factory.
Also, this vehicle's A/C operates with a dedicated belt, and it is independent of the larger accessory belt.
So, whether the A/C compressor has a belt or not it will not affect the other belt.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
