My 2003 GMC jimmy will not take gas into the tank except by slowly feeding it in taking about ten minutes per ten dollars worth of gas

There is a breather that runs along the filler tube. Check to make sure it isn't damaged or plugged. As fuel enters the tank, air has to come out. If it is plugged, the gas can't enter the tank.
