window goes down about 2 inches when you open door, does not go back up when you close door. when window is down about 2 inches and you open door it goes down another 2 inches.

If its only working when the door is open that it works then i would say the wires going to door thru the boot to the door are broken.Inside the wires insulation thats what
makes the most sense.Wiggle those wires around while operating the window and see if it starts working?
