2003 Ford Explorer Engine Idle Issue

Since having the 3 front timing chains replaced the engine will idle low and rough most of the time. Rarely it will stall when exiting the freeway. Check engine light is not on. The mechanic who did the work checked and cleaned the idle control valve/assembly but it made no difference.

Ok, I would start by checking fuel pressure. Then check for vacuum leaks around the intake. Get a can of throttle body cleaner and spray around the intake with the engine running and see if the idle changes. If all that checks out then you may need to take it back to him to verify his work was done correctly.
