headlights and tail lights do not stay on?

My headlights and tail lights do not stay on and sometimes do not come on when I turn on multifunction switch. I had it fixed but it started to short again. The mechanic put a piggyback part on but as soon as I truned to auto, my lights started to short again,HELP

That is most likely a bad LCM (Lighting Control Module). That car was pretty famous for them going bad.
