It will start up, but as soon as you take your foot off of the accelerator it will die, if you keep a high rev it will drive. But runs fine when warm

Is the check engine light on?

Sounds like a vacuum leak or a bad idle air control.

You say 100k. That would be around 62000 miles uk

and a uk spec crusier would be no different from an usa spec crusier

(that was this weeks probably real stupid question of the week!)
