Why it idling so high?

2002 Chevy Tahoe 5.7


Changed spark plugs, cap and rotor, now the gas is revving really high.

Either a vacuum line is off or the idle air control motor is defective

Dcmeza, first of all are you sure your vehicle is a 2002. My friend has a 2002 but with a 5.3 witch has no cap and rotor! If it is a 2002 with a 5.7 it's not stock and could be many causes to your problem. You need to find out before I can point you in the right direction gascap
