I have a 03 tahoe. Z71 it well start but dies rightaway. The display reads reduced engin power. I looked this up its a protective defalt for if the engin over heats. My tahoe is not over heating

It may be a default for one of many conditions. Usually it is relevant to a fault with the electronic throttle. Have you been able to have it scanned for fault codes?

You do have a message for engine overheat, the engine power reduced message is indicative to another fault.

Its apperantly them throttle control sensor. I have one on its way. I hope this fixes them problem. Fingers crossed, lol
