2003 Chevrolet Silverado tapping/rattling on acceleration

Tapping/rattling only in gear at low speeds sounds like bottom of oil pan going to drive me nuts if I dont find out

Try to short out cylinders one at a time to see if stops or quiets down then pull valve cover off that side to look for bad lifter/pushrod broken spring
