When I go to start my truck sometimes it will hesitate a few seconds before turning over and starting. It doesn't make a sound just when you turn the key to start I have to hold it there for an extra second or two, then it will start like normal.
I have a manual and at first thought, that I didn't have my foot all the way down on the clutch. But I have ruled that out. I've had the spark plugs changed recently. And the battery gauge indicates that the change is good and it's connections are clean.
What could be causing this delay on start up?

You need to physically look at battery connections to see if theyare clean, it could be that also your battery needs a test done it to see if it is good or not. They normally aare good for about 4 yrs. It could be a bad ignition switch as well. Check yoru fuses underhood for being dirty and it could also be a relay dirty or not getting a good connection.
