My s10 @ cold start makes a loud rattling sound for maybe 15 to 30 seconds and want do it again until the engine is cold. And it roars when your driving and its not the tires rearend or drive shaft. What could this be?

If it is a tapping noise, I suspect lifters, the oil hasn't fully circulated, yet.

The roaring noise, maybe exhaust? Radiator fan?

It's hard for me to tell much from here. I'd have to try to listen to it and try to locate. I know trying to find a noise is a pain. Sometimes they are hard for me to locate, also.
