Bad Transmission?

So I am driving all morning delivering items and everything it great. I start to head home and start merging into the highway when my 2003 Chevy S-10 automatic 2WD will not shift into 3rd. It shifts into 1st and second okay but not 3rd. There were no signs or gear shifting problems before this. What happened? Did I just loose my transmission?

Very possible. Beyond checking the fluid, all you can do is take it to a trans shop and have them evaluate it for you.

Sigh. Welp I had it checked out. Was charged 350.00 for them to take the transmission out. Ugh. From what they found there was worn out parts and possible that the worn out parts effected the fluid flow that broke the torque converter. 1,800.00 I don't have :(
