Compression problems

I got a compression check on a cylinder(3) that had been misfiring, (my car shakes when it is idle) and It came back with only 5 pounds of pressure. What can I do to fix this? What is the issue? Is it expensive to repair?

You will have to get a leak down test done, I would be thinking a valve problem, may be a stuck valve or it could be a burnt valve, the head will have to be removed to see the damage and then an estimate can be made on repairs.
