Front end noise

I have a low roar, or hum, coming from the front end of my truck. "03 Chevy Avalanche, 80k miles. Brakes checked OK. Some mild feathering on the inside of the two front tires. Alignment seems fine.

How did you check the alignment? If you didn't use amachine your eyes can't tell. Try changing your tires front to rear and see if the noise goes away. If it does you need tires, have your axles checked for torn/ripped boots and worn joints. It can also be wheel bearings.
