I need to replace a throttle body on the escalade. After doing this I was told I need to reset the ECM for the SUV to run properly. My question is, can I use my matco scanner to do this or is this something that has to be done by a Cadillac dealer?

Are you talking idle. Relearn. Which scan tool do you have and which software.

A mechanic just told me I needed to reset the ECM so I'm assuming that it is the relearn for the tps. Matco scanner I bought off the truck about a year and a half ago. Not sure of the software.

I have included how to change out the throttle body and how to reset it which doesn't need a scanner. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
