Leaking oil

2003 Cadillac cts is leaking oil from a small box on the upper right portion of the passenger side witch is attatched to a vacuum line. What is this silver box and why is the vacuum line be leaking oil?

Is it at the rear of the cylinder head, close to firewall? I believe what you are referring to is part of the crankcase ventilation system. There could be a blockage, or breather concern that is allowing oil into that unit. It is not a possibility the oil is coming from a cam cover and leaking onto that, is it?
