Antifteeze leaking out of hole on side of engine block

Car was smoking under hood of car. When cooled, opened radiator cap, start car, then poured mix of antifreeze & water and seen it gushing out a hole on side the left side of the engine block. Looking for an idea of what came off and if I can possibly get the part and do it myself. It's the hole adjacent the one shown

It is either a freeze plug or missing sensor.
Freeze plugs are press fit and have to be hammered in. However, if you look on-line or at your local parts store you can find ones that bolt in.
The sensor is less likely but check to see if the hole is threaded and if you have any wires that are hanging with no connection.
